Cinque Terre was resplendent. I’ve never seen such beauty like this.
Dwelling in every moment I could possibly take. Every smile on my face was pure. It was gold.
I can still delineate all five villages so vividly. Vernazza was top in my list as it made me feel youthful all over again. Just that breeze and taste of salt water, that free fall over the cliffs…. I was so alive.
Mother nature really does wonders. To know most of the landscapes were gradually formed just through all that erosion and sunny fields of green just amazes me. The colourful houses were made bright and bold so the fishermen out at sea could easily spot their homes from afar (and to check on their wives -duh).
All that food and cheap wine was plentiful and worth every penny. I would do it all over again if i could. So little time, so much to do. Time was ticking rapidly. I wished it would all just slow down. Nevertheless, I was thankful to God for every moment. I’m deeply blessed.
It was such an honor soaking in the culture and riverland. This rugged coast will always have a place my heart.
Till next time, Cinque Terre.
